Great post as always! Just wondering though, how do you practice this "This includes connecting with what I already understood" in real life?

and another one... could you elaborate more on how you observe thoughts instead of thinking about them? I don't quite understand it. What do you do after you observe them?

*Context is in section 1. Mind from Aligning the Identity

1. Connecting what I already understood in practice: finding similarities between ideas I just read with the ones I have learned before.

Example; I read a book about how to write clearly. The writer mentioned that to write clearly, it starts by understanding the topic. The process to understand a topic is by writing the topic using your own words.

When came across this idea, I relate this with my existing understanding of the Feynmann Technique, which includes explaining a concept to a five years old to accelarate our leearning process. So I that’s how I connect between the two ideas.

2. On observing thoughts, I think this video by Headspace could explain it best https://youtu.be/iN6g2mr0p3Q
